What is Personal PowerON®?

Czym jest Personal PowerON®?

PowerON® is a tool that examines the basic motivators in life that have a significant impact in the professional environment and indicate a person’s dominant needs and values. The method was developed by Iwona Golonko, a psychologist, business coach, manager, and researcher who has been working on the subject of motivation since 2001. PowerON® examines preferences in terms of eight key motivators that play a role in the work environment and attitudes toward internal and external rewards.

    Kondrat Wina Wybrane has been working with us for 10 years! We regularly meet with the Management Board at strategic workshops, where we update the strategic plan and activities that build competitive advantage in the market. Thanks to the implemented PPON® research project, the company discovered the profile of its employees' motivational needs and adapted its communication of goals and values to them. As a result of a series of studies, discussions, team webinars, and consultations, quality procedures of customer service were refined at BARWINO stores.

    One of the largest implementation projects (over 1,000 people). The data collected refuted many destructive beliefs and assumptions about the needs of IT employees. Gaining new knowledge about the company resulted in a number of changes in HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, training) and management. The results of the survey among PMs allowed to tailor a dedicated development project. The study of motivation patterns also became one of the elements of the onboarding process in several teams.

    The annual coaching project for administrative staff was based on over 120 hours of individual and team coaching sessions. The motivation survey and its discussion sessions gave the teams a common language to talk about their needs and a space to resolve growing conflicts. The leaders benefited the most, gaining a solid understanding of the mechanics of employee motivation. As a public institution with a high degree of formalization and rigid procedures, the university became a little more relaxed and open to ideas and solutions.

    The report showing the distribution of motivation patterns and the structure of attitudes towards external rewards in the management team allowed for (quotes from evaluation surveys): “a critical discussion that was needed,” “a conversation about how to communicate and close projects,” and “a record of the organization's current problems.” A series of online training sessions and meetings focused on future competencies strengthened the leaders. An additional online survey on management challenges allowed for the mapping of three key areas and an introduction to the design of two parts of the project.

Consultants quickly noticed that the knowledge gained from the PPON motivation survey also helped them run campaigns for clients. In our projects, researching motivational patterns is not always the starting point—we usually include it at a stage when participants are already in the process of change, when it becomes a practical tool for everyday work, rather than just a source of knowledge.Self-motivation and influencing the motivation of others are not separate competencies. They are the result of the synergy of many universal leadership skills. That is why we start the project by building trust, then we develop communication and providing feedback. We reinforce attitudes that are key to effective change: openness, courage in conducting difficult conversations, and a focus on friendly, partnership communication.

    Anyone who writes stories knows that a well-constructed character should have a clear goal. The key to creating multidimensional and psychologically credible characters is motivation, because only when we are able to understand a character's motivation do we embark on a shared adventure with them and begin to cheer them on. And so, thanks to a series of webinars, screenwriters and writers gathered around StoryLab were able to develop their skills thanks to clear, concise, and practical Personal PowerON research methodology.

    The ALTOM Development Project (40 participants) answered the following questions: How to operate flexibly and take advantage of opportunities? How to maintain high energy levels? How to defend prices, products, and decisions in a way that builds customer relationships? How to manage complex processes and the diversity of roles and responsibilities within the company? The PPON survey implemented in the second stage of the project was a lever for change at Altom. The aim of implementing PPON was to counteract burnout and develop self-motivation and a positive attitude. The survey was both a catalyst for many processes and a link between many of the topics discussed in various workshops.

    No. You can take the test more than once. We recommend retaking the test if there have been any major changes in your professional or personal life and you feel that your motivation is declining. This may be a sign that the intensity of your important needs has also changed and your individual motivation pattern is now different.

    Yes, the link to the survey is valid for 60 days. You will receive an email notification when the survey is about to expire. The survey takes only 15 minutes to complete, so we encourage you to do it as soon as you receive the link.

    After the test expires, you will lose access to the test and the possibility of receiving an individual report. Personal PowerON requires you to repurchase the test. If you were prevented from using the link due to so-called force majeure (e.g., an accident and hospitalization) but still have access to the email address used to purchase the test, please contact our office at info@personalpoweron.com.

    By selecting the Mr/Mrs option, we will be able to generate a report for you in a language-specific version, e.g., verb endings, feminine forms, honorifics. Specifying your preferred formula does not affect the result of the survey in any way.

    The report contains not only a description of your dominant motivation pattern, but also descriptions of additional patterns. This material will broaden your knowledge of motivation. The report is linked to an online workbook where you can do exercises or download blank printable cards.
